On behalf of The Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island staff along with every family and professional we work with, we would like to thank everyone that participated in Memory Walk this year. We are very happy to report that we exceed our financial goal of $240,000 for Memory Walk 2006. Memory Walk is our biggest fundraiser, and the largest single source of income. As a non-profit, we offer our services to families free of charge and rely on the consideration of everyday individuals and government grants. This year’s Memory Walk was a great success, despite the weather conditions, for the first time ever we had to cancel the walk in Newport, and we are reminded and impressed by the commitment and kindness of our supporters who came out to support us.
