The Educated Caregiver Series

This is a three-part series on topics important to family caregivers who are taking care of someone at home.
While it is not focused specifically on the care of someone with dementia, its information is useful. Family
caregivers as well as healthcare professionals give their views and suggestions on the topics presented. The

This program uses the story of a 53-year-old man named Roger to help caregivers understand the symptoms

This is a training program for improving the quality of care provided by the health care professionals and by family caregivers. Reflections on Memories Lost: Stories of Early Alzheimer’s disease

This is a staged portrayal of two individuals who have Alzheimer’s disease: Booker, a man with mild
AD cared for by his daughter and Bea, a woman with mild-moderate AD cared for by her husband.
Expert commentary on symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of AD is also provided.
Solving Bathing Problems in Persons with AD

This video gives suggestions on how to give a bath to someone with AD. It demonstrates both good
and bad techniques. It’s excellent for nursing home training as well as caregivers at home who are
having difficulty with this task.
Someone I Love Has Alzheimer’s

This video is designed to help children and families cope when a loved one has Alzheimer’s disease.
