The Rhode Island Chapter is a private, non-profit organization, which was started in 1989 by family caregivers and interested community health professionals. Although we are the state affiliate of the National Alzheimer's Association based in Chicago, we are supported solely by donations from individuals, corporations, public and private foundation grants, events and educational forums.
